Artistic Eyes in the Garden
Imagination . That ’s the endowment that gardeners carry around with them . In this vacation season , Heather Kenleycreated a truly Texas wreath from scavenge ball moss ( Tillandsia recurvata ) . Sure , you could buy Tillandsias , but this is local celebration at its best! With U - form pins , Heather anchored her ball moss to a straw coronal ( charge plate leave on for accompaniment ) in about 10 minutes .
I ’m minus 25 on the craftsy musical scale , but even I could handle this . class ago , I spray paint mountain Arthur Stanley Jefferson Laurel and butterfly vine ( Mascagnia Macroptera ) seed pods that I haul out every Christmas . Look in any gardener ’s shed and you ’ll find spraying paint!Designer Leah Churnerdolled up inexpensive mud pots to glisten up her balcony . Across the seasons , I discover a unique creative person in every nurseryman I fulfill . Plants make their own art . Gardens also incite interpretative translations . In 2017 , we ’ll run into with Austin artistValerie Fowlerfor the story behind this and her other works . Thank you for stopping by and glad holidays to you ! Linda
