Today ’s photos are from Eve J. in Tennessee . Eve says,“I live in Norris , Tennessee , a very modest historic townspeople which was built as the first actual planned community in the thirties to house workers who were build TVA ’s Norris Dam . The Ithiel Town was project with quaint cottages , walk trail and common green areas for recreation .
“ My home plate is one the original Norris menage made with helping hand dissever white oak shingles on a sloped yard . It was once called the “ hillside house ” . Because it is surrounded by many large oak trees , it is really a shade garden with a combination of shade kind annual , native plants , and fern . populate in the woodwind , it has been a challenge to find plants and barriers to keep the large herd of cervid that live on in the woodlands behind my house from eating everything .
“ The hardscape features dry - stack fieldstone continue walls , flagstone stonepatios , and a water feature to give the feel of an Appalachian stream . My summertime flower seam are a mixture of many unlike color and textures , and I have found that houseplants are well incorporate into annual bed for a unequaled looking at .

“ My first love is ferns – I have an extensive compendium throughout the garden . Except for the raised flower beds by the theatre , my goal is to have a maintenance spare railway yard with aboriginal shrubs , perennials , ferns , and hostas . I am genuinely addicted to plants and horticulture and have never passed a plant I did not want to buy and produce . ”
Love it , Eve . * * We ’ll be feature some of Eve ’s containers tomorrow . Do n’t miss it – they’re nerveless !
