Yes , I did it ! I made a whole homemade Reuben sandwich , where every individual element was made from scratch and home ferment . I have to let in it was a bit unmanageable to do , mainly because of the logistics involved in making sure that every constituent was ready at the correct meter . But , in the ending it was totally deserving it , and one of the tasty meals I ’ve had in a long prison term !

Homemade Ingredients for a Reuben Sandwich
as luck would have it for you , I have made all the ingredient for this awesome sandwich in other posts , so that you may check them out one at a time to make this for yourself .
What ’s awesome about this recipe is that everything is homemade and either cured or fermented !
Here is what you will need :

The only thing that I did n’t make for this sandwich is the butter to toast it in ! I venture there ’s always next time for that , ha !
Make the Fermented Reuben Sandwich
Ok , rent ’s piece the Reuben sandwich .
First spread the Russian dressing on the kale . Then top one side with corned beef , cheese , and sauerkraut .
Some hoi polloi like to ignite up the corned beef before arrange it on the sandwich to make certain it ’s hot , but I do n’t think it ’s necessary . Do what works for you , though .

Get acast iron skillet(or other heavy bottomed pan ) hot over medium heat , then tote up some butter . cautiously put your sandwich in .
After several minute check to see if the bottom has browned . If it has , then very carefully flip . you could add more butter to the goat god if you wish .
This is when it starts count and smelling astonishing ! Once the 2d side is browned , the sandwich is quick . Yum !

This Reuben was so tasty , I think Joel and I ate them for two days straight !
I guess when you go to all the trouble of making all the ingredients from simoleons , you might as well spoil a small . It went extremely well with a glass ofhomemade hard cider .
Even though this was n’t a particularly easy feat , I ’m so glad that I did it !

It forced me to makehomemade cheese , something I ’ve been pose off for a retentive time .
I know the feeling of knowing that I made every factor from scratch , and that each one was fermented in some way . Tasty and good for you !
Have you ever made something wholly from sugar , where every single ingredient was made by you first ? Tell me about it !
