President Uhuru Kenyatta has said the much anticipate business deal talks between Kenya and the United States of America will start on 7th July 2020 .

He said the talk which will lead to the signing of a free trade agreement ( FTA ) between Kenya and the US have been designed to kick off on the same daytime the African Continental Free Trade Area ( AfCFTA ) come into issue .

President Nana Akufo - Addo said his country had rolled a 250 million USD Covid-19 stimulus bundle with the objective of minimizing job losses .

The Ghanian leader said the AfCFTA is an opportunity for the US to enhance its investments in Africa .

" We see a spate of chance for increased and enhanced trade between Africa and the US , " President Akufo - Addo state .

individually , President Kenyatta this evening at State House , Nairobi attended a closed room access African Union coming together on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam ( GERD ) .
