This forenoon is overcast and coolheaded , with some pleasant breeze . We ’re still not bugger off rainfall , yet there is beauty everywhere .
On Monday I got a “ new ” vintage lens : aMinolta 135 mm 2.8 MC - Rokkor , which I adapted to myCanon R6and took out shoot around the food forest and garden .
The chaste trees are back in salad days :

And the sugarcane is do in , despite the very wry weather . We wo n’t get dandy production , but the bouquet is first-class .
Sugarcane is so beautiful I do n’t understand why it is n’t grow as an ornamental in landscaping .
The pokeweed is going to sow . We do n’t consume them , but I like to have them on the homestead as a chop - and - drop curtain plant .

The Jerusalem artichokes are in blossom now , cheerfully crusade on through the drouth .
And the compost stack pumpkin vine has resolve to create at least a dozen novel autumn pumpkin around the edges of the garden .
It ’s amazing how long this vine has lasted – and how much it ’s yield !

The sunn hemp did n’t get intimately as buddy-buddy and marvellous as it did when we plant it last class , probably due to the extreme heat and want of water . Yet it ’s covered the garden with lovely blooms .
And speaking of blooms , the bees really have it away the African aristocratical Basil of Caesarea . It ’s always a - bombilation with activeness .
A common weed here is the railroad vine , which I care to see in the wilderness but not so much in our gardens .

Another lovely cerise flush that is appearing everywhere now is the wanderer lily . They go away through the summertime and then shoot up flowers in the drop , followed by leaves that persist through the wintertime and leap .
God is good . Even the “ weeds ” have mantrap .
