We ’re genu - deep in boxes , tape measure , and house of cards wrap around here , and though we   technically still have a calendar month left of our current lease , our moving pods come in a couple of weeks — so we require to wrap   things up , tight .

There ’s a whole lot of Craigslisting , eBaying , and Goodwilling break down on , and I ’m continually astonished at how much stuff can accumulate in our lives in such a curt time ! I intend , why did we   keep all those disposable chopsticks and soja bean sauce packet but never use them ? Why did I compile double prints of all my pre-2003 pictures ( before I buy my first digital camera ) and drag out those boxes with me through five different moves ? ( aver “ double prints ” really feels like I ’m aging myself here ! Haha . )

Watching all that   clutter   going the house brought such a upsurge of endorphins that I care I had the same super - charge motive to purge at other clip of year too .

Root Pouch fabric pots

With undecomposed advance being made inside the planetary house , we ’ve started to concenter on organise the yard this week : inventorying shaft and equipment , cleaning out the chicken coop , clip trees andmulching beds , and dividing herb and taking cutting . ( I seriously imagine the last fourth dimension the   K looked this neat and manicure was when we first move in ! And um , that was seven years ago . )

We ’re going to be moving our favorite plants with us and overwintering them inside our new home , and for   the preceding few week   I ’d been trying to estimate out a way to send them all while minimize weight , shock , and breaking . It just was n’t feasible to bring all   those the Great Compromiser wad with us ( we have dozens ! )   and some of them are so worn and weathered that they likely wo n’t survive a foresightful - distance move in a trailer .

So , I did a short online excavation ( no pun intended ) and come across these fabric pot fromRoot Pouch , which seemed like the perfect solution . Lightweight , durable , and no risk of breaking ! The company was tolerant enough to send me some to test , so I ’ll be repot all our plants in the come calendar week and report back to you before , during , and after our move with how well they do in the Root Pouches .

First stamp : I like them . They ’re thick yet pliable , the handle are helpful for haul our larger plant around , and the fabric pot are light than a standard plastic nursery pot . I requested sampling from theirnon - degradable Boxer line , so I ’m hop they ’ll last for a effective long while ( or at least until my plants have settle into a more lasting home ) .

Have you   ever grown anything in fabric pot ? What did you think of them ?
