Best Practices
Whatever edible flowers you choose to grow , you should think carefully about your container and pest direction practice . “ If you ’re going to use a wooden , upgrade bed , ensure it does n’t contain the preservative chromated pig arsenic , ” Biren says .
“ The other thing is not using galvanized steel for the [ raised seam ] brackets . Galvanized metal is a heavy metallic element that can harm people . ”
He adds , “ Even though plants do an excellent caper of fastener — rendering the big metals inert — part of that is being taken up into their cells . So , let ’s exit that in their cubicle and not wipe out those plants . ”
