I have a grand perceptiveness for the Renaissance geological era , and enjoy going to the Renaissance festivals that are hold every twelvemonth in my state . TheScarborough Faire Renaissance Festival inWaxahachie , Texas is one such result , have got in later Spring . Although the acts , jokes , food for thought and drinks are the same every year , it seems each tripper has it ’s own unique memories . This retiring sojourn would be no different .

About halfway through the day , I was walking by some shops and , to my surprisal and delectation , saw a garden . Yes … avegetable garden .

What wassounique ( and beautiful ) , was the fence surrounding the garden . Made entirely of sometime tree branches and dais , it reminded me of something the Native Americans or westerly colonial settlers would have built .

Fashioned in eight traditional garden style rows , the garden hold back a gallimaufry of vegetables , blossom and fruits ( melons and strawberries ) . learn over the garden was a scarecrow , plume in peasant garb .

As I finished taking pictures of the garden , one of the faire ’s employees approached me and asked , “ Do you know the story behind this ? ” “ No , ” I replied , “ please partake it with me . ” He told me that it was a dedication to one of their own employees who die last year . When I need who it was , his answer sent a very lamentable chill down my back .
